Sam Foster is running to serve as the next mayor of Marietta, Georgia. An IT systems engineer who first came to Marietta to attend Kennesaw State University, Foster has since become an engaged community advocate, helping to found A Better Cobb, a nonprofit dedicated to improving public transit, housing affordability and pedestrian safety. His campaign is similarly centered around creating a more livable and affordable Marietta by focusing on the development of mixed-use, walkable neighborhoods with expanded housing options for residents. If elected, Foster would be the first Black mayor of Marietta.
