NEW ORLEANS — Today, the SPLC Action Fund proudly endorses Andrea Manuel and Shaunn Wyche in Louisiana for council elections set for March 29, 2025.
Endorsed candidates include:
- Andrea Manuel, running for Jefferson Parish District 1 Councilwoman, aims to reach out and support different cultures and improve the quality of life in the Parish. Manuel is a small business owner and former educator and child welfare specialist who was raised in the Jefferson Parish Public School system.
- Shaunn Wyche, running for St. George Parish Councilman At-Large, is committed to advancing government transparency and creating economic opportunities for all residents within St. George. Wyche is the founder of People United to Lead St. George Engagement (PULSE) and a proven leader with more than two decades of management, financial and administrative expertise.
“We believe Andrea Manuel and Shaunn Wyche are strong advocates for the diverse people and families throughout Jefferson Parish District 1 and St. George Parish,” said Madison Hollon, program manager at SPLC Action Fund. “Manuel and Wyche bring the right experience, integrity and dedication needed to empower and serve all people of their districts.”
