TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ā Today, the SPLC Action Fund proudly endorses city commission candidates in Palm Beach County elections on March 29, 2025.
Endorsed candidates include:
- Judith Thomas, running for re-election as Lake Park at Large Commissioner, aims to work with residents to help boost schools and improve community engagement with county agencies. Thomas previously served as a volunteer member and board chair of the Lake Park Planning and Zoning Board as well as the planning and zoning administrator for Riviera Beach.
- Michael Hensley, running for Lake Park at Large Commissioner, supports equitable zoning policies for the county and wants to ensure residents feel heard and their concerns are reflected in policy decisions. Hensley is a current commissioner for Lake Park and previously worked as an educator.
- Carla Blockson, running for Lake Worth Beach Commissioner #2, aims to improve educational opportunities for children and expand affordable housing. Blockson believes in showing up for her community, proven by her 28 years as an advocate in Lake Worth and her current role as president of the Vernon Heights Property Owner Association.
