Erica Pope is running for Dacula City Council. A licensed social worker and human resources professional, Pope has also served as president of the Gwinnett Democratic Women and on the boards of several nonprofits based in the Atlanta metro area that support homeless youth, address the needs of new mothers and combat sexual abuse and human trafficking. Her work on maternal mental health led to an appointment to the Southeastern Maternal Health Community Implementation Regional Advisory Board. If elected, Pope would be the first Black woman on the Dacula City Council. Her campaign is centered around providing accessible and transparent communication to constituents, encouraging strong community engagement and well-being, and powering economic growth in Dacula by supporting small business.
