MONTGOMERY, Alabama — The SPLC Action Fund is proud to endorse Greenville mayoral candidate Jae’Ques K. Brown for the Sept. 23 runoff election. Brown currently serves as city councilman for District 4. Under his leadership, he led initiatives to eliminate poverty and economic inequality by reducing crime, addressing infrastructure issues such as drainage and litter and hosting regularly scheduled town halls to hear the concerns of citizens.
“Leaders rise to the occasion to help and inspire their communities in the toughest of times. By that definition, Councilman Jae’Ques K. Brown is a natural-born leader with a clear vision for the future to uplift the residents of Greenville,” said Madison Hollon, program manager of political campaigns, SPLC Action Fund. “His mayoral campaign seeks to continue his efforts as a councilman to provide transparency for citizens and build economic development in Greenville. The SPLC Action Fund is proud to endorse this candidate for his bold leadership and dedication to community investment.”
If elected, Brown would be the first Black mayor of Greenville, marking a historic change for the city.
