SPLC Action Fund Endorses Devon Dabney for City Council

ATLANTA – The SPLC Action Fund today endorsed Devon Dabney for Post 2 on the Johns Creek City Council. Dabney, founding member and Vice Chair of City of Johns Creek Arts, Culture & Entertainment (A.C.E.) Committee, is committed to protecting public safety and implementing a strong fiscal policy.

“Local elected officials have a tremendous impact on the everyday lives of citizens,” said Madison Hollon, program manager of political campaigns for the SPLC Action Fund. “It is essential that those who sit in these positions are truly devoted to serving the community. We are proud to endorse Devon Dabney, who has demonstrated her commitment to these principles.”

The SPLC Action Fund is focused on lifting up communities of color, particularly in the Deep South, who face systemic oppression, poverty and structural racism. To overcome these injustices, the organization is committed to reimagining the political, economic and social systems that sustain them to create a world where all people can thrive.

In pursuit of this bold agenda, the SPLC Action Fund supports candidates who share its commitment to addressing the deep inequities that plague our nation.
